My Neighbour Really Needs Training Puppy Tips

Wednesday, December 28th, 2011

I have owned dogs my whole life.  I currently have 2 yellow labs and they are a joy to be around. I noticed that my neighbour recently brought home a new puppy and I’ve seen them outside quite a bit. He came over to our house yesterday and after we talked a bit mentioned that he was really looking for some training puppy tips. It seems that he and his wife were having some issues with their new pride and joy.  Their new puppy has taken a liking to going to the washroom in their house and also chewing on the furniture while they were away at work.  I could relate a bit to what they were experiencing so I asked him to hold on a minute.   I went in to my office and grabbed a copy of one of the books that I have used many times to train my dogs.  I gave the book to my neighbour and said that if he read this book, it would answer all his training questions.  I felt good that I could help him out a bit.

An Interesting Night

Wednesday, December 28th, 2011

It was an interesting night. The two dogs that we just adopted spent it exploring their new home. They don’t mind our first two dogs but they aren’t sure about the four cats! We heard a couple of crashes. Things will settle down. One of the new dogs needs special medicine so my husband went online. The pet meds cost a lot less there. We use the site already for one dog who needs a different medicine and routine things.

Where Can I Find a Dog Dry Skin Remedy?

Friday, December 16th, 2011

Bonnie was having difficulties with her water spaniel. She called me to tell me that she was out of resources. I breed dogs, and she was hoping that I would know of a solution. The best advice I could think of for a dog dry skin remedy was by going to a website that I often frequent. They offer a lot of good advice, and I know they carry products that are supposed to help dogs with dry skin. I told her to look at some of the medicated shampoos that they offer.

If you own a dog, you may be slightly overwhelmed with the amount of foods that are available on the market, so how do you choose the best dry dog food?

The first thing to consider is whether dry food is the best for your dog, instead of wet food.  Generally, dry dog food is very good when it comes to exercising your dog’s teeth and gums, because they have to chew hard pieces.  However, if you have an older dog whose teeth are starting to get brittle, you may want to consider opting for wet food instead.

Choosing the best dry dog food should not be too difficult, however.  What you certainly need to do is read the label.  All the information you need can be found there.  Look at the label well before you look at the brand or at the price.  Many top name brands assume that people will buy their product because they know the name and others also presume that people will think a brand is better if it is expensive.  This is why these two things are no indicators of the quality of the food.

As said, picking the best dry dog food is all in the label.  Make sure it contains products that would be suitable for human consumption.  Dogs are carnivores, so the food needs to contain meat.  This meat should be good meat, and not a by-product or meal, as these are parts of the animal that should not be consumed at all.  Also check there is no wheat or soy in the product, as this can be dangerous for your animal.  Do make sure that there are plenty of proteins in it and that all the ingredients have a nutritional value.  By showing care and attention, you are sure to give your dog the best dry food.

Learning How to Cure Mange in Dogs

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

A friend of mine works with animals so I asked her to take a look at my dog. She came over and took a look and informed me that my dog had mange. I was shocked to find this out because I had never seen it before. My friend then told me how to cure mange in dogs and that gave me some relief. It was good to know that there were easy ways to treat this problem that do not cost a fortune.

The Benefits Of Taking Your Dog To The Dog Park

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

Doggy parks are usually a controlled environment that is enforced, cleaned, managed and supervised entirely by dog owners. Regulations may vary and are very extensive for the well-being of both the owners and animals but are completely necessary. These environments tries its best to promote responsible pet ownership since owners will have to take responsibility for the actions of their animals for continued admittance into the parks.

Owners that would like to give their pets a place to play freely may benefit from taking their dogs to these types of parks. Allowing dogs to interact with their own kind can turn dogs into obedient social animals. In a neutral territory, fear and aggression can be reduced in dogs to allow them to focus on having fun. If you do not want to spend money on an animal pet vet in the future then, it would be wise to adhere to dog park rules and really know your pet.

Your beloved pooch deserves the best of care and lots of love to stay happy and healthy. But there are times as a pet owner that you may have to deal with one or more of the serious skin maladies that affect a great majority of dogs, especially if they live outdoors. Some of these problems may have to do with the acquisition of mites, which can cause a nasty case of mange, and would be best treated with all natural products.

Training My New Puppy

Thursday, November 17th, 2011

My best friends neighbor’s dog recently had puppies and she was giving them away for free. She offered me one and the breed was exactly what I wanted so I said yes. She told me that if I needed any help at all with the puppy training to let her know, as she has been through the process of training her puppies many times before. I have had absolutely loved watching my little puppy grow up and she is beginning to get so big now.
