How does stress cause hives in the body? Stress raises your blood pressure and heart rate, which in turn causes raised body temperature. Just as exercise can cause hives, so can stress. Most people get hives only when they are put into situations where they are extremely stressed, but some can experience hives outbreaks when subjected even to milk stress. It is still not clear how to treat this issue effectively, but stopping the root cause of hives is the most effective way to go.
