For some reason, men are still under the misconception that the best way to pick up a woman is to go to a bar or club and hit on her. The truth is, this is not how to attract women effectively. Instead, if you want to know how to pick up women, then you need to start thinking about unconventional ways and places to make this happen.
First and foremost, stop trying to pick up women at a club. If you’re looking for a one night stand, then this might be the place to do it. If, however, you’re looking for a relationship, then you need to look at other places, such as the grocery store, bookstore, church, work, or even the subway or bus. When women are in these places their defenses are down. They aren’t trying to protect themselves against jerks looking to get into their pants like they would at a club or bar. Most women are more likely to laugh at a joke, engage in conversation, or even smile and say hello at any of these other places over a bar or club.
Another benefit to choosing one of these places is that you are showing that you aren’t put off by women who aren’t dressed to impress. When a woman goes to a bar or club, she sets out to look hot. However, at the grocery store she might be, dressed in sweats and a T-shirt. If you talk to her and ask her out, you’re showing your not a shallow guy who is only interested in women in short skirts and low-cut tops.
Another thing to consider is trying to seduce women during the day rather than in the evenings. If you don’t know how to seduce women and you find yourself to be nervous, approaching a woman in the daytime when it doesn’t seem like a pickup actually make sure nerves work for you. At a bar, women expect to be approached by men who are smooth talkers and have every line down pat. At the grocery store, a guy who’s a bundle of nerves is kind of cute. Also, the setting is conducive to a less than perfect introduction, again because her guard is down, and she’s more open to new possibilities.
Bars and clubs have their places when it comes to picking up women. However, if you want an opportunity to attract a beautiful woman for a long-term relationship, then it’s time to use unconventional methods and unconventional places as well.
